Documents

This page provides a number of useful documents that you can download or read directly on your computer. All the documents are in PDF files, so you will need the free Acrobat reader to view them. Most computers already have this installed; if not, click on the section at the bottom of the page to download and install the reader.

In some cases, we have Zipped a set of PDF documents into a single ZIP file. Download the ZIP file and unzip it, to find the individual PDF documents.

Method statement

A useful document, used when seeking Planning Permission, is a Method Statement. This shows how the tower is erected. A copy of the Method Statement can be downloaded here. Choose from the list below according to the turbine power and the tower height.

The form allows you to enter your details and then print it out. Click on the PDF icon to download the file.

6kW or 15 kW turbine on 15m tower
6kW turbine on 9m tower

Foundations

The files in this section provide full details of how to build the foundations to support the tower. Choose from the table by selecting the appropriate icon, by selecting the tower height and the size of the turbine (power rating) and click on the icon. The file is in ZIP format, so you will need either WinZip or the Zip Folder facility in Windows XP. Inside the Zip file is a number of PDF documents with drawings and installation instructions for the foundation.
